### **Stripe**, Senior Software Engineer, San Francisco *Nov 2018 – Nov 2022*

- Consolidated three fragmented onboarding APIs into one integration for [Connect](https://stripe.com/connect), Stripe's multi-party payments platform; wrote the specs, drove API reviews, and shipped to GA as the default for new platforms.
- Owned authentication and security for Express App (Stripe's mobile dashboard) across 4 workstreams with 6 engineers, shipping multi-merchant sessions and mobile OAuth to 100K+ Custom accounts (e.g., DoorDash).
- Extended onboarding to 20+ countries, grew local payment method activation from under 1K to 100K+ merchants, and cut bank-account support volume 50%+ via identity verification (featured by Patrick Collison).
- Mentored staff engineers on security-critical infrastructure and guided an intern to a full-time return offer.

### **Sesame HQ**, Co-founder/CTO, Toronto/Waterloo *Aug 2014 – Nov 2018*

- Funded by Imagine K12/Y Combinator (Fall 2015). Raised angel funding to build an edtech platform helping teachers assess student competencies and build digital portfolios.
- Designed and built the full product stack from scratch: native iOS app, front-end web app, and backend microservice architecture. Adopted by thousands of teachers across paying schools.
- Managed and mentored an engineering team of 3; oversaw product engineering, design, and technical hiring.
